Did clomid work for anyone here despite good ovulation score?

We're ttc no.3 at the moment and on the 7th cycle. We paid to go for a chat at the fertility clinic last month as it's not happening and I have a history of PCOS (I conceived no.2 with metformin). The ultrasound revealed I don't have PCOS anymore (weird, but dr said this sometimes happens). Anyway I had a progestorone level of 85 (quite high) on CD21 though the dr said I could try metformin again or clomid (with monitoring) if I wanted.

Soo, am just wondering what to do. Will clomid make any difference if I'm ovulating well anyway? Thanks for any advice

Wanted to post although I didn't use clomid - I have history of PCOS, symptoms include irregular cycles (was diagnosed when no periods for 4 months) - cycles often 35 days which endo says is irregular (even if always 35 days), also very light periods that dragged on for whole week. Judging by temp rise I was ovulating, although not successful in TTC (around 6 months).

Anyway I had success with acupuncture, in combination with mild weight loss (only around a stone) and some chinese medicine (from acupuncturist) - took 6 months off TTC (as I was made redundant and unexpectantly had to move jobs) - decided to use the time off productively IYSYIM and with the treatment my cycles reduced to 30 days, periods a bit heavier & shorter, and then got pregnant the first month I tried again.

My acupuncturist specialises in fertility / PCOS - would be important to find one you really trust - if you are in London can send you link.

I conceived my DD also after acupuncture - then I had no period for 4 months, so I knew I responded well to it.

Hi, I had thought of trying accupuncture so may give that a try (not near London though unfortunately). It's weird as I don't and never really did have any symptoms of PCOS other than long cycles though these have gradually improved over the years. They were 45-60 days when ttc no.1, 35 days like you when ttc no.2. Now they're nearly always 29 days and no cysts on ovaries, great ovulation yet no pg. Pretty confused with what to try next really but will look into accupuncture .
