Tried to get on a roller coaster (it was a fairly sedate one as roller coasters go) with 2 year old dd when 8 months pregnant. Had to disembark as safety bar wouldn't fit over my bump.

I went all round Safeway, paid, packed my shopping and walked away and left six bags on the end of the till. Realised when I got home and made DH go back for it!

I was pregnant with dd2 8 months and quite big to say the least and decided to walk next door carrying dd1 age 15 months despite the fact that it was extremely icy needless to say I slipped and landed on top of dd, on the concrete drive...neighbour rushed us to gp a few miles away I was hysterical but fortuitously no one was hurt (dd bruised)..I couldn't believe I had been such a culpable idiot...

Hello!

In my last pregnancy - I filled the car up with petrol - didn't put the cap back on properly, the petrol seeped out and ruined our tarmac drive - 2 days before we sold our house - spent the next 2 days trying to fill the holes!

At the monent and with 9 weeks to go, I'm talking a load of rubbish, forget what i'm doing and cry at crapy love songs on the radio!

minnie, i did exactly the same thing when i was pg with dd - only it was £100

i couldn't believe what an idiot i'd been.

I left the Dog at the supermarket. All the way home I was thinking 'I've forgotton something' and when I walked into the house and the dog didn't great me I realised and had to go bad.

Oh and I left my newly born son at home in the cot asleep to collect my DD from school. I forgot all about him. Lucky DH was home and about to go out and I caught in time to say stay there till I get home.

What a twit....

Oh blimey Minnie - did you get the money back????

Well so far this pregnancy I have:-

  1. Sent all the monthly bills out at work WITHOUT signing the cheques

  2. Left my handbag on a trolly at Asda's

  3. Left my lunch on a checkout conveyoy belt after paying seperatly for work items. I had to go back and get them when I relised 10mins later!!!

Probably done loads of other stupid stuff but these have been the worst.

Forgot to update the car breakdown cover for car for when we were on holiday in France.

Car overheated and needed various amounts of towing, we had to hire another car etc etc.

I am sure mine has the highest financial loss (but DH was lovely about it all)

Bought some hideous tartan Xmas decorations. They are so bad, we've kept them to laugh at every year and just marvel at how hormones can affect one's sense of style !

I sent 2 of my aunts a christmas card. When I wrote them out, I put the wrong kids names in them. (right names but to the wrong mum!) There are identical twins though and they do say your brain shrinks in pregnancy. Thats my excuse anyway!

I tried to move an 7ft tall mirror, couldn't and dropped it and it smashed into the bedroom window! Thank the Lord for house insurance, understanding (yet bemused) DH and the fact that the postman wasn't delivering to my house at the time or he would have copped it!

oh no minnie sorry about the cash loss. how awful. dh would of shot me.
the other day i forgot -totally- how to cook corn on the cob. got corn out of fridge and looked at it blankly.....had to ring my sil and ask her how long to cook it for -as i am the baking/cooking one out of our family, who can chant cake recipes without thinking, she really thought I had lost it!
have also waited to pay for items and only when at till realised i hadnt been to cashpoint and had no money
rang dh the other day to pass on a message that ahd been left on our answerphone for him, he was in middle of staff meeting and i had to interrupt- as soon as he answered i said 'there was a message for you.from .....er.....um.about.......er...thingy...' had to ring him back after relistening and writing it all down. dh has chalked it down to totally blonde wife moment really redfaced moment!

When about 9 months pregnant I went to Tesco and waited ages to park in the mother and baby spaces. In front of me a taxi just sailed into a space - now fuming, I marched across to him and started to give him a piece of my mind when I spotted a very new baby on the back seat...

Even worse, I didn't actually have a child with me at all! (apart from the one in my tum)
