I had cramping before I took a test, in fact that was what made me think I was pg. It's caused either by implantation or your uterus stretching, I think.

Very normal

It was getting cramps 4 days before I was due that made me think I was pregnant

Can carry on for a while. Obv if it gets very painful or you start to bleed contact your doctor.

Congrats!

I have been pregnant 3 times and always been really surprised how much cramping that goes on in the early weeks.I thought it might be less each time but doesn't seem so.Must be the uterus stretching I think?

i had a lot of pains and cramps in the early weeks and at times i was really worried. if you dont get any bleeding i wouldnt worry too much unless its extreme pain. mine would swap from side to side and i think for me it was eerything stretching. it stopped around 10 weeks and i only get off twinges now and im 14 weeks monday

good luck and i hope it all works out well for you

I only had BFP 3 days ago (2 days after period due), its my first pg and keep experiencing cramps like period pains - have been all week but they come and go. I keep thinking its a sign that i'm about to get my period and thus loose the pg so i've been researching sites like this for 2 days and am starting to be assured it should just be the embryo burying into the lining of the uterus and things starting to stretch.
