a bit if fun to pass the time.....

My mum and grandma were firm believers that the baby comes out at the time it went in!! so basically if you baby daned at night it will come out around the same time............ my mum said it was definately the case for me and my brother.........anyone else?

Im still waiting to see if its the case for me, it has been with few of my friends!

We conceived in another time zone.

Would I be expecting the baby to arrive at the same time their time or at the same time here IYSWIM...?

DD bd in evening born at lunchtime
DS bd in morning born at midnight

so double no

but apparently most women ovulate around midday so lots of babies not conceived at time of bd.

I also think baby dancing weird expression but bd is abrreviation used on many TTC chatboards, and is part of lingo like BFP and AF.

I hope it's not true, mine will be born at around 2am on a Sunday - rather inconvenient!

Oh gosh -- bd is an expression used extensively all over mumsnet....those criticizing are obviously (hopefully) newbies.

It's not a great expressions but it's used frequently nonetheless....

Wishing -- expecting first baby next April so will be checking!

I dont know about the actual time of conception but DS1 was born at 3.20pm and DS2 was born at 9.40am. think this myth may be just that.

Hmmm, well DS was conceived late morning early afternoon on a sunday.

I had a show about the same time on a sunday then had him at 1138am the next day which would be late morning early afternoon.

Still, he was removed via the sunroof so....naaaaa.

Mums are mad (our mums, not us)
My mum had a really stupid theory that everyone had this 6 month cycle where you'd have boys the first 6 months and girls the second.

For instance, your cycle could start in October and run to March and you could only have boys then from April to september you'd have girls .

Based on everyone she knows including her 4 brothers and herself.

She also said she bet me I couldn't find a brother and sister born on the same month.

Unfortunately I haven't found one yet but im sure you MNrs won't let me down!!

Newbie? 5yrs service I'll have you know.

And bd has been removed from the acronym list due to popular demand because it's so bloody twee as a description.

nope ds1 born at 5am and I can vouch for the fact that no sexiness happens at 5am for us!

the suggestion that babies come out around the same time they were conceived makes me think of roast dinners being cooked for a certain length of time and they're not ready until they've had exactly the right amount of time!
