Insatiableappetite? Anybody else so hungry that they have to more or less eat every few hours??

I am 12+1 and in the last few days, have had the most voracious appetite (for food ). I have now regained all the weight that I lost in the last 8wks. I am trying to eat 'good' things to fill up with - e.g. I have eaten three bananas today , which is unheard of for me - but still my appetite remains.

Is anybody else in this hungry situation??

I feel that I will soon be as big as our 6ft bed

Yes, I have just eaten 3x milky way and 2 x toast with proper butter and jam and 2 x toast with proper butter and marmalade.

I'm 15 weeks!

Hate to say it but wait till you start bfing (if you intend to)
I have always had a 'good' appetite (ie greedy ). When pregnant I ate like a horse and when bfing ate like a pregnant horse

Make the most of it

It's normal! Keep on eating small and often and you're doing fine (don't forget to keep drinking as well).

oooh good, good, good, so glad to hear of other hungry ladies. It's a little disconcerting in some ways isn't it? I keep wondering where the heck all the food is going and how I can possibly still be H U N G R Y [eats]

I am now 37+4, and have put on at least 10 kilos. All around my enormous bowling ball tummy. I am enjoying a new-found love of cake and chocolate. I may well lose a lot of it after labour and with BF, but am certain over stretched tummy will be dragging on floor without some sort of corset-jobby-miracle-body-suit. (Am hoping a few seshs of pilates will sort though).
Do I look bovvered?
Am wondering if I should heat up some frangipan&cherry cake in the oven to accompany a cup of raspberry leaf tea.....I have double cream in the fridge too...
Have complained to DH that is lethal to send hungry pregnant cake fiend shopping, but hey ho..

Glad I'm not the only one . Have found the only way to combat first trimester nausea is to constantly scoff. DP has to remind me to stop at my knuckles!!

YES! I'm sooo hungry all morning, I can just constantly eat and not fill up.

Weirdly, as soon as I've had my lunch, I feel really full and don't want to eat again all afternoon.

Maybe by that point my body is literally FULL of food and just can't fit any more in?

I'm 25 weeks though, and have only put on 2kg, which considering how much I've been eating I don't understand...

All this talk of food as made me hungry, can hear my toaster talking to me

mylovely yes this is my first... I have no idea how I have only put on 2kg when I'm constantly eating

Perhaps because I'm not eating much differently to pre-pg - I've always eaten crap so my body is used to it!!

Me, me, me! I've been eating like an absolute horse since i stopped being sick 2 weeks ago - as someone else said, it semed to be the only way to stop the nausea. But now i'm absolutely starving ALL the time, but as soon as i eat i get really bad indigestion and heartburn and am sick about an hour later . I'm only 13 weeks.

HELP!

I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child, and i am eating like a horse. I find that i'm having to eat something every 2 hours or i feel ill. luckily the sickness seems to have worn off, but i don't feel too good if i don't eat.

ZZZ, your post title made me smile. In the first trimester I had to eat every 30-45 mins in the morning or I felt horribly sick - although at the same time I couldn't manage any big meals.

I did have a spell in the second trimester when I was a bit less hungry. Now at 29 weeks I get heartburn and end up eating to take away the horrible taste/feeling in my throat. I've put on about a stone and a half so far - but as far as I can see, apart from a little bit on the hips, it's all in the bump so far.

me too! had to eat constantly throughout first 10 weeks or so due to horrible nausea and feeling faint otherwise, now at 15 weeks and have to stop eating after about 6pm, or I get awful painful indigestion and bloating...aargh!
I find fruit seems to sort me out, and those ryvitas you can dunk in tea, but if there is chocolate or buscuits around, forget the healthy stuff!
Going to have to start that pregnancy exercise dvd soon....
