Pregnancy

Does anyone *not* go to the loo that much more often...

Now that they're pregnant?

I am struggling to work out if my desire to go to the loo has now disappeared! I definately go more often in the evening, but that tends to be the time when i drink the most water - currently suffering from fairly severe morning sickness that is triggered by anything in my stomach, but thankfully mainly limited to the morning - so it could be related to not actually having anything to pee!

I also used to drink about 7 mugs of tea before lunch time, so that may have an impact on me not actually noticing...

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow.

Just interested in other peoples experience really.

P.S. Having said that i was up every 2 hours on saturday night becasue i drank 4 pints of water in the 4 hours before collapsing into my bed!

I didn't go much at all in the first trimester. Like you, I suffered quite badly with MS and could barely drink any liquid in the day without being sick. I guess that accounted for it. Once you feel better, you'll be eating and drinking more and both combined will have you running to the loo again.

Now, at 23 weeks, I have to plan my outings around toilet locations - I want to go all the time, day and night and it's a major pain. Especially as when you get there, feeling as though you could fill a bucket (sorry for being crude), there's barely enough to fill a thimble!

Same sort of thing here, I hardly ever used to go, in fact my friends jokingly called me the camel, as I'd go a whole night out in the pub without needing to go....then first trimester thought it would be constantly weeing, but really wasn't at all.
Now, at 20 weeks, I'd say I need to go about every hour in work (and I teach, so it's just a question of diving out of class sometimes, I've no choice!)and in the evening, it's everytime I change position on the sofa or get up to do something - most annoying, esp as only bathroom is upstairs and it's bloody freezing in there!

when not preg i only pee 3/4 times a day and when preg t's not much more tbh, towards the end i have to get up once at night to pee but honestly that's the least of my worries at that stage of affairs!

I go to the loo loads more, but I think it's less to do with pregnancy itself and more down to the fact that I've had several UTIs this pregnancy. I also (to ward off further UTIs and stay hydrated) drink at least 2 litres of water a day, so go to the loo every 90 minutes or so at least.

Night times are ridiculous. 3-4 times is a good night, and I think my maximum was 8!

I envy your bladder of steel!

I'm 19 weeks and at no time at all over the weeks have I needed the loo more often. My friends who have been pregnant have told me the first 12 weeks will send me to the loo and up in the night but nothing doing here. I'm drinking enough liquids and i do lay off drinking too much the hour before I go to bed but I am not going more in the day anyway.

I do wake up at the normal time and want to go but I think I was like that anyway.

I'm not worried, I am quite happy but maybe the baby pressing on something will mean I pay later on in the pregnancy!

I wouldn't worry, everyone is different.

I'm 35 weeks now and find that if I'm sitting down I can easily go 3 hours without a wee. I still don't have to get up for a wee in the night either. But if I'm walking or standing I notice it much much more - definitely would go every hour if I could, but can hold on for every two hours if there's no loo/ convenient bush available.

I'm like cies - still don't need to get up in the night to wee, and don't notice that I'm going more than usual, except in the last few days when the baby's been kicking me in the bladder alot... which is nice.

I'm same - 36 weeks now and don't really have to go anymore than when I wasn't pregnant although do have to get up in the night. I went for a 7 mile walk the other day which took about 3 hours and didn't need to go the whole way despite drinking lots of water.
