What exactly is scaring you, Bubble? Are you afraid of delivery and labour, or do you feel it is the wrong time for you? There are excellent counsellors available. I spoke to one on the phone at Marie Stopes when I found out I was expecting this baby and she was totally non-judgemental but very helpful. That might be a good starting point?

I've had a couple of "oh my word, what have I let myself in for" moments (currently 19 weeks). I think it's totally normal. My mum said she was the same but by about 5 months a calm overtook her and she became far more relaxed.

Of course its normal to feel scared . I would be worried if you didnt feel scared at some point to be honest! I think its a sign you will be a good mum that you are worried about what is to come. What I always found though is that things are never as bad as you worry about. Nobody knows how to be a mum and the vast majority do a fantastic job of it.

Is there anything in particular you are worried about?

bubble24 Im petrified! if that makes you feel better and Ive already got 2! I'm having bad panic attacks, and a feeling of claustrphobia. I am not normally like this!!
But it is getting me down, and I cant really explain why! Try not to worry, I am sure its just our hormones! Makes us think crazy things! lol

bubble24 I was really scared. I think more than most people feel to be honest. Actually I had got having a baby top of my 'most scary and awful things to do' list. Even though I was desperately trying to have my first baby for five years.
I was frightened of everything from the pregnancy, labour, looking after a newborn, a toddler and a teenager.
I now have a toddler by the way and I think it turned out much better than I expected! It turned out that I really like and love him! and I think this was the bit that was missing before I actually had him.
