Are there ANY accurate predictions of gender, apart from scans?

Sweet versus savoury cravings, carrying low or high, foetal heartbeat, nausea or no nausea etc etc etc..
Are there any accurate predictions of whether you're having a boy or girl?

What, you think scans are accurate?? grin.
Amnio is accurate (but not a good reason to get an amnio).

View the uncertainty as a positive, gives you something to think about during childbirth!

The lady at the checkout of my local supermarket! wink She took one look at me this morning as said with a simle, 'That's a girl for sure: I always know'. She's right you know: my two latest scans have confirmed it.

Seriously the whole sweet versus savoury thing, imo is just not true: I am craving salty things and have done so since the start of this pregnancy. I had nausea for all 3 pregnancies (2 DD and 1 DS). One thing would seem to be an indication: the way I am carrying this time round - the abovementionned lady based her affirmation on this criteria - and I am carrying the same as with my DD but very differently from my DS.

I'm afraid I don't agree with peatnutbutterkid; I think scans are very accurate when the specialist is a really a specialist and his equipement is spanking new!!!

No. You can have a private scan at 8 weeks which can show a pretty good idea of the sex, but all the old wives tales are a load of utter tosh.

I had two very different pregnancies and had same sex from both.
