2nd pregnancy - 9 weeks and cant fit in my normal clothes

Hi,
I am 9 weeks pregnant and for the last 2 weeks have barely been able to fit my belly to my normal trousers.

Is this normal?

Last time I was pregnant I couldn't fit into my normal clothes at 10 weeks and then found out at the scan that I was having twins (had a visible bump by 14 weeks).

I'm quite concerned it might be twins again.

Or is this normal for a second pregnancy?

It is a bit alarming isn't it?? lol I looked like I'd eaten a football at 9/10 wks, whereas I was hardly showing at that time with DD1.

I'm 25 wks now and I'm a pretty normal size for how far on I am. I think it is very normal because it's all been stretched in there and so gets bigger quicker the next time round. Blimey, what would be the odds of having two sets of twins?? that'd be fun for you if you did

Its pretty normal to show quicker with Number 2.

With DD I was in Maternity clothes at about 16 weeks.
Im now 6 weeks with number 2 and already in maternity trousers!

Looking back at the photos I currently look like I did at about 14 weeks with DD.
My mum is a twin so there are concerns here too about twins.

2 sets of twins though would just be bizarre!!

Yeah I know someone with 2 sets of twins and one singleton. She was convinced the singleton was really twins.

I was huge at about 8 weeks with DS2 but it all evened out by about 20 weeks.

I felt bigger quicker with DC2 as well, and was in mat clothes sooner, but am now (29 weeks) being told I'm small for dates - again!

I didn't show til about 15 weeks with my 1st DC, am now 14 weeks with DC2 and there is no hiding it!!! Looking at pictures I'm about the same size as I was at 20 weeks - midwife assures me it will even out and I'm not going to end up as the world's biggest pregnant women

Its normal to show sooner with #2 because you may have lost some muscle tone. The abdominal muscles will give way much more easily.
