much less movement after 30 weeks?

bit worried - currently 31 1/2 wks and noticed that babe has been moving much less over past 10 days or so (thought meant to be at most active 30-32 weeks)
ds1 moved absolutely loads - feet & hands all over the place but this babe seems so passive - just the occasional headroll, flutter of hand etc or so it seems. just wondering to what extent should be expecting the same type of mvment 2nd time round (esp as ds1 was breech and so dar this babe is head down).
any reassurance/advice would be great!

I was the same with DS2 (now 8 wks old ), best to get checked out by your midwife or at the maternity dept. just to put your mind at rest. I went to my maternity dept twice near the end of pregnancy and they were great. Sure everything is fine though.

Natural to be worried - I found I worried even more with the second one - think I was more aware of all the things that can go wrong- first time I was in blissful ignorance!!

Anyway - I'm sure you and babe will be fine. Good luck for tomorrow.

ikwym - blissful ignorance can be a good thing!
hope he's not in distress though - he has been moving a bit more this am, maybe cos I've finally sat down and rested a bit after a hectic few days..
