I had leaking waters with ds at 38+4 so should know what it feels like and what to look for.

But i am a little confused this time.

On Tuesday ds and i went shopping for an hour he was walking and being a pain so had to carry him quite a bit to get in and out as quickly as possible. When i got home my knickers were really damp. TMI- but didn't smell of wee. I put on a panty liner and it was dry after a couple of hours. So just put it down to the knickers not being very breathable (silky type) and wearing leggings and it was probably sweat....?

Yesterday i went out again but was sitting for most of the day and knickers were normal.

I took ds to the park today for a couple of hours. So walking quite a bit and lifting him onto swings etc. And could feel that my knickers were wet when out and got quite paranoid about it. Got home and checked them and they were wet again (100% cotton knickers this time).

So are my waters leaking but only when under strain (i.e after walking, carrying ds)
Or is it just a bit hot down there?

Any experiences would be great. I have just called the MW and she just suggested putting on a pad and seeing if its wet in a couple of hours, and going in if it is. Which is what i did last time, and it was.
But what if its not... what does that mean...

I'm sure waters can leak and then re-seal. Maybe it is this? Something to do with hindwaters or forewaters. Sorry, I'm not much help am I?

Maybe? I'm not really sure what to do with ds after going in and them confirming that my waters were indeed leaking they gave me an iduction date if i hadn't gone into natural labour in 72 hours because the risk of infection.

So all i'm worried about really is if they are leaking but only a little and the baby getting an infection because it's not picked up.

I'm sure there are some waters that can leak, but because if were they are they can't introduce infection to you or the baby. I can't remember if they are the hind or forewaters though.

Hopefully someone will be along who really does know what they are talking about.

If you are worried speak to a MW again and tell them your fears.

Good luck

Thank you!

I think i will just wait and see if anything happens, after two days with leaking waters last time i did go into natural labour so maybe something may happen soon. If the same thing happens tomorrow i will call them again and ask them to check just incase!
