Did it appear really early? I'm 7 weeks and my belly is already quite round my fat trousers no longer fit and i've switched to mat trousers already I started a new role in the same company Monday so I don't want to say anything yet but to me it seem obvious I am pregnant I'm dreading telling my new manager and director!

yes, really early. No disguising it at 10 weeks. It seems abut normal now at 16 weeks - i just think your tummy muscles go "oh, we have done this before, no point resisting"!

congratulations by the way.

Yep! I looked 6 months gone at 8 weeks. It did go down a bit as most of it was bloating, but really I looked pg from the second I peed on that stick.

I will be 13 wks tomorrow and am looking about a month further on with this pregnancy (have a 2 yo DD). One of the first signs of this pregnancy was an expanding waist line!

On a practical note, try wearing some tummy-skimming tops so that it is not immediately obvious to anyone else that you have a bump.

Oh, and congratulations

With my first pregnancy I was still wearing my normal clothes up until 22 weeks. Told work at 24 weeks and they had no idea I was pregnant, they were shocked! However, this time at 12 weeks I have a definite rounded stomach. I take comfort from the fact that others have said this could be due to bloating (though more likely because I've been stuffing my face!)Keep trying to cut down my food intake but I'm so ravenous all the time I literally can't stop eating.

Im pg with dc2 at the mo. I was out of my normal clothes at around 6/7 weeks! I had a proper bump at 13 weeks. Im now 21 weeks and look the same as I did when 8 months pg with dd!

I bought baggy tops to wear. I also found wearing maternity trousers made me look smaller

same as all the others. with first pregnancy was in normal clothes until 16 weeks. This pregnancy? My normal clothes didnt fit at 7 weeks. At 22 weeks look much bigger than I did with my first.

It was no surprise whatsoever when I told work this time round, whereas no one had twigged with DS1

Im only 5 weeks with number 2 and already look about 4mths! Its scary!
Just made DH get the maternity clothes down from the loft as im sure I will need the trousers very soon.
I already look soo obviously pregnant so theres no way on earth ill be able to hide it till 12 weeks.

I'm 27 weeks and my bump looks almost as big as it did when I was full term with ds1!! have to say it bothers me almost everyday but keep trying to remind myself that healthy baby is all that matters and I shouldn't be so vain, because vanity is all it is for me, plus bored of EVERYONE gasping when I say I'm not due until December and am I expecting twins. Think it bothers me also as worried how big I am going to get in the next 13 weeks

hey Pattymc I'm 27 weeks too, and if I see another raised eyebrow at my big round bump... grrr

No other real weight gain any where else just a big bump!

yes and now I find myself explaining before people even ask that I'm 27 weeks and yes I do have a huge bump and yes I do look like I'm only a couple of weeks away, and then they usually just shrug and say well it's very neat at least!
today 1 woman just said , gosh isn't your bump high - yes, yes in other words it's BIG!!
boobs also much bigger this time round, all in all I felt cumbersome (not sure if that's right spelling) from around 3 months onwards and now roll around the bed like beached whale.

Hi,
Congrats! I am nbearly 10 weeks with number 2 - feeling so much bigger than last time too - bloated and bumpy. Not sure why - starting from same weight point and been gym training like crazy since DS arrived 14 months ago but I am still getting bumpier by the second!!!

I have two weeks off after this week, been struggling to hide my pg thus far and hasve no doubt that I will be returning in maternity trousers!!

I have been worrying about this (9 wks) and devising cunning work outfits - smart shirt untucked over mini skirt and thick tights (to hold waist in) worked wonders.

I only went back to work last week!!

It's definitely bloating as tummy still quite flat in the mornings, but on the tube home I'm already being offered seats!

Glad its not just me then its got the stage where people are going to guess at work I've got mat clothes from last time but people might recognise the tops which is why I am reluctant to wear them, and loads of stuff clings....I need to do some shopping.....

I'm going to end up telling people next Friday as we have work drinks and there is no way they will believe me not drinking again 2 weeks ago I said I was on Anti-B's!

phew i'm not the only one! am 16 weeks and look at least 20 weeks. been trying to hide my bump under loose dresses but very obvious when wearing trousers. weird though as sometimes the top half feels quite hard, othertimes its more squidgy!

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow with DC2 and for the first 30 weeks was ginormous, maternity trousers from week 8 - now I am the appropriate size and everyone has stopped saying 'twins?' 'how far gone?' etc In fact, the baby has dropped and am now measuring smaller than dates even though I was measuring as 39 weeks when I was only 34. It's all relative and will be the right size when you get to d day - the annoying bit is that the world and their wives have an opinion on how big you should be and you could swear that you were the first pregnant lady to have a large bump.

Cor, wait till you're pg with your third - I tihnk my belly was the giveaway before I peed on the stick . Was sure my in-laws had rumbled me over the Christmas holidays (was about 8-10 weeks, not telling anyone till after 12 weeks) but they swore they didn't notice (MIL did a convincing face if she has guessed ).

I have just one thing to say to you all - tunics!!
