but on/off since about 5 I've had a pain right at the top of my right leg, kind of in the groin area. And it doesn't seem to matter whether I move it or keep it still, it still bloody hurts. Bathing helped for a bit, but should I be doing anything?

I think it's sciatica Dizzy, sometimes I get it there and sometimes in my lower back on the right-hand side.

I found walking about shook it off a bit last pregnancy, it's been worse this time round.

An ostepath might possibly be able to help a bit if you can get your GP to refer you? I have had lots of back probs this time round, apparently it's quite common after the 1st pregnancy as ligaments soften earlier but there doesn't seem to be a general consensus on why sciatic pain happens.

It's no risk to the babies anyway if it is sciatica, just another thing for you to have to deal with, I'm sorry, you've deffo got enough on your plate... hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for answering, I just plonked this in chat as well, I thought everyone was asleep

It's really painful and sharp, but doesn't seem to be affecting my back at all, at least that's something. Everyday there seems to be something else on me that goes wrong or hurts, it's a wee bit wearing.
