Pregnancy

I want to get excited, and I am... but this has been ruined forever and I can't see me ever really relaxing.

ok, so got a bfp on thursday morning and Im shitting myself (not literally, obviously) theres no real reason for me to, i have no pains/backache/niggles the way i have done with ALL of my mc's. i feel sick and tired (god, how I love that feeling - every retch makes me smile) and my hair is glorious, tummy v bloated and glamour-girl breats (as when pg with ds) but i am aware that tomorrow I dont call the gp to arrange to see the mw, instead I call the clinic to arrange a scan. Im not allowed to lift a thing, in fact im surprised dh hasnt banned me from breathing tbh im so grateful to be up-duffed, especially since we have just been turned down for IVF and were on last cycle of clomid, but i feel a tiny bit bitter that i cant enjoy it and am unable to relax and/or start telling people.

i want to shriek "I'm pregnant (love typing that) I'm not barren, dont have shitty eggs" but i cant because we are so far from the end of the tunnel that the light is just a speck.

please god, let this one stick.

I have had 5 scans already and im only 17 weeks
Just take one day at a time...soon they will add up and before you know it you will be seeing the lo at the 12 week scan

Wishing you all the luck in the world

Wow - that is great new. Congratulations! You will relax probably - eventually.

But right now you're a lot closer to being a mum again than you were yesterday

Wow lissie, congratulations
Don't lift a thing, but have something chocolatey to celebrate!

exactly spicemonster, said to dh earlier "i'm more pregnant today than i was yesterday and every hour that passes is a minor victory" he has promised that as soon as we have the 6w scan we can tell people (mc at 6w) and i can have anything i want for myself and this baby. just want it though.

Super news lissie, many congratulations

As someone has already said take one day at a time and allow yourself to be cosseted whenever possible.

I'm loving that "every retch makes me smile" anyone who has had a mis will know exactly what you mean.

Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy

at this stage lissie, every hour is great for you.
I am praying that this little acorn grows into the mighty oak you want it to.
Hoping that you can smile at your scans, each and every time. x

i know!! i dont think either of us expected to get here without intervention. i am however on full knicker-checking alert have a fair bit of cm (normal i know) and keep having urge to check myself in wildly inappropriate places such as debenhams at 12pm on a sunday
