First thing in the morning my ankles are so stiff I really struggle to get down the stairs. It does get better after walking around for a while but the walk to the station for work is painful and even after the worst of it has worn off, they are still a bit achey for most of the day.
I've been having foot swelling, gradually turning into foot and ankle swelling over the last week so perhaps it's this causing it, but would be grateful for any ideas as to how to avoid if you have them (other than putting feet up - still working part time plus 2 very active DCs makes that impossible until after their bedtime ). Blood pressure and everything else fine so not worried about it being anything other than yet another "minor discomfort" as they say.
I just asked my sister for some advice on this for myself. Her physio told her to do some exercises before getting out of bed - just little stretches and circle ankles etc. I thought i was getting arthritis
