sex during pregnancy

I'm only about three months pregnant and I don't really crave sex at the moment. I do mentally but then I don't want to physically if that makes sense. If we do it, I feel a bit violated and really bothered afterwards...??? Does that make sense?? Does anybody else feel that way? Or is it just my pregnancy hormones messing with my head.

Pregnancy hormones do all sorts of weird things with our emotions.
I couldn't bear the thought of it in my last pregnancy in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. It seemed like the weirdest thing in the world so we didn't do it.

that's exactly how I felt! Violated. It was so strange, I thought it was just me.

We have managed it about once a week throughout pregnancy (have dd's aged 2 and 3 which make it harder to find time!) But now at 33 weeks I have spd and so much pressure and pain in my pelvis that I think that will be it until after baby. I really crave normal sex though where I am slim again and feel desireable!!

I feel sorry that DH will miss out for a few weeks but don't think I could manage it now!

Totally went off sex throughout both of my pregnancies. It was a tough time.

I'd say concentrate on intimacy, cuddles, massage etc, because 9 months (or a year, really, if you include the period after birth) is a long time not to be physically close. I regret not making more of an effort, because it's taken a long time to get our sex life back on track, and it's had all sorts of implications for our relationship.

I must be abnormal ladies. I absolutely craved sex when I was pregnant, especially in my 2nd and 3rd trimester (although I suspect the 3rd trimester urges had more to do with kickstarting labour and less to do with desire grin).

And no, I didn't have a very high sex drive before getting pregnant (nor now, much to the horror of my dh).

Wow I thought I was the weird but it's nice to know that other ladies feel the same. I suppose my body thinks it's all doing this for baby. My last pregnancy I couldn't bring myself to have sex for 6 months after while I was breastfeeding and it was painful as well if we tried. Thank you for posting.
