Got a BFP on Sunday (finally, after a year and a half!) - but not very sure at all when my last period was and have been having irregular cycles for the last few months.

Feel a bit stressed about it as I put 29th June down on the form at the doctors - is it really bad if I have got the dates wrong?

Would it be worth buying one of those tests I have seen advertised where it tells you how many weeks you are?

Also, not sure what will happen now - will the midwife want to see me soon? I would like to see someone as I feel really clueless about the whole thing!

Firstly, congratulations!

Secondly, don't panic about the dates - when you have the 12 week scan they'll confirm your due date. Mention to the midwife that you're not sure when your last period was and they might give you an early scan.

It varies where you are in the country as to when mw will see you - here it's around 8-10 weeks.

Thirdly, calm down! You'll be fine. If you haven't had any symptoms you'll probably be only just pg by a few weeks. Do you have any symptoms?

Dont worry about getting the dates wrong, most people do. They'll prob give you another date when you have a scan anyway.

Im pregnant again after a miscarriage (1st baby aswell) and never had a period in between so have no clue whan Im due. Thought someone would give me a judgeental lecture but everyones been fine about it.

When you see the midwife, just tell her what you know and she will work it out the best she can. She gave me what she thought would be the date and the put to query it on my notes. They've got me down as 11wks so will have my "12 wk" scan on Friday.

Please dont stress (impossible I know) and just try and relax, you're pregnant worry about how many weeks you are when you see the midwife!

Congratulations passionberry

Oooh thanks for answering so quick! I'll just wait for the midwife to contact me then.

I haven't had any major symptoms yet - just what I thought was my period arriving early (implantation bleed I guess), sore boobs and I feel a bit dizzy when I stand up.

I just didn't want to get in trouble with the midwife for being crap - the forms to fill in look scary!
