Nausea in third trimester - Help!

I thought my nausea and MS was gone for good when my first trimester ended. I am now 31 weeks and am feeling nauseous again - why! I also have a loss of appetite, am hoping that doesnt affect the baby too much.

Anyone have any experience/advice/information as to why I am going through this all over again.

It happened to me on dd2. Had hyperemesis on both pregnancies. First time round I was sick all the way through. The second time I was very sick from 6 to 13 weeks and then the vomiting etc stopped. It came back in the third trimester although no where near as bad.
Tiredness, hunger and having heartburn made it worse.
Sorry no idea what causes it.
for you. I know how miserable it is and throwing up with a large bump is horrible.

I started feeling nauseous again around the same time as you and threw up a couple of times - for me it was due to heartburn, so swigging Gaviscon Advance really helped. You could try it anyway.

Yes. I second the Gaviscon Advance. More effective than the normal one.

I'm feeling nauseous as well - and of course with your stomach constricted you don't want to eat as much.

What I found helpful with the appetite problem at your stage was rethinking how I ate - I've always been one for a sarnie for lunch then a proper dinner - I changed that to two, evenly sized meals, with snacks in between.

Now the baby has dropped I've got my appetite back - still feeling a bit sick though...

Glad, I'm not in this alone. Just over 31 weeks and nausea is back. Nothing awful but definitely feeling sicky. Don't suffer from heartburn, didn't really throw up but sick feeling in the stomach. Lovely ...

me too - 28 weeks and feeling sick from the heartburn and having to eat much smaller meals. I can't stand gaviscon - so am sticking with Rennies and the odd zantac when things get really bad. Only another 12 weeks to go though!

[waves] Yep,I'm 31 weeks and my MS has also returned, largely brought on by the heartburn. Poor DH was in Asda at 3am buying me fruit Rennie. I got precisely 2 hrs 40min sleep between night owl baby kicking and being sick several times this morning. So tired I can barely think straight and to top it all, developed a cough overnight and the coughing fits are triggering the MS.

I think it's quite common. Last time my nausea cleared up at 12 weeks but came back a couple of times, once at about 16 weeks and again towards the end. This time it got loads better at 12 weeks, but has recurred throughout the pregnancy whenever I get tired, or don't eat enough. I am having a bad day today actually, due to tiredness.

thanks to everyone for their comments, I think I will give Gaviscon a go.

Congrats to everyone on their pregnancy by the way
