Dear lord, the nausea...

Am only 5 weeks along (I think, seeing GP tomorrow), but this nausea is kicking my butt.

This is my second pregnancy and I really don't remember it being this bad this early. I haven't actually thrown up but am just constantly yuck.

I am overweight and have been losing weight recently by watching my carbs and working out a LOT. But the only thing that works to make me feel human is dry toast with marmite. I have already eaten 3 slices of bread this morning. I can't work out cause everytime I walk into the gym, I want to throw up.

The house is disgusting because this has been going on for over a week now and everytime I get started I feel sick, so make some toast and sit down.

AAAARGH! Can it be March now? I want my new little bubba but this SUCKS.

Oh I feel for you, I've had awful MS with all of mine. I always looked on the positive of at least the hormones must be working and the baby is fine whether thats true I don't know but I had to believe something!

The house will wait! Have you tried ricecakes instead of lots of bread, I found that too much bread actually seemed to make it worse.

I hope it passes soon, and congratulations!

Please eat what you need to to feel better and don't worry about your weight. With both of mine ms peaked at 8-10 weeks. I won't tell you when it eventually went!

im worried about my weight too as i lost loads recently and i really dont want to wave goodbye to my new figure! but toast sorts me out too so im just going with it.

Hiya, I just want to ask.. are you taking folic acid? If you are taking synthetic folic acid it can make you feel very, very sick. I only found out when I was pregnant with baby number 3 and once I started taking naturally sourced folic acid my morning sickness disapeared. I really wish I had known the 1st 2 times!! I put on 4 1/2 stone in each of those pregnancies. This time round ( no4 ) i've put on 2 stone and only had v mild morning sickness. Good luck

Still taking the pregnacare conception stuff, have a whole box to go (if I am being honest I wasn't actually expecting to get pregnant, I have PCOS and other issues).

Actually seems a little better today. I always drink stacks and stacks of water and have drunk a bit less today. So I am wondering if I was overdoing it.

Hiya, Glad you are feeling a bit better today! Pregnacare was the one I took with the 1st 2 pregnancies and for the 1st few weeks of the 3rd. I now use Solgar prenatal nutrients. I also take omega 3 and when pregnant I only take supplements before bed as they have a better chance of being digested without causing an upset stomach. Digestion slows a lot in pregnancy and the theory is that when you are resting you have better bloodflow to your stomach to allow for digestion. Hope you carry on feeling better

Hi Ladies, I'm 8.5 weeks too and feel bloody awful. Trying to eat regular small meals but when you can't stand the sight/smell of food it's awful. I am wearing the sea band wristbands and they're not making a difference either. Gaviscon was the latest thing I tried, again, no difference.

I normally have folic acid after breakfast so think I'm gonna try that in the evening instead. Useful advice Kitkatqueen.

With my ds I'm sure it had gone by about 11 weeks but it seems like an eternity til then. When I had a mc I didn't feel very sick at all so am hoping this time round it's a positive sign. I am hardy going out as I nearly threw up in the library the other day and can't face another situation like that again (when you go all hot and panicky!).

It helps no end knowing it's not just me though who's suffering.
