Hi all,

I'm travelling abroad to get married this week. We are going to Cyprus. I'm very unwell at the moment anyway as have very bad sickness literally all day and night- I'm 8 weeks.

Swine flu has just hit our town this week so that's a worry in itself.

Cyprus has also been hit. Apparently people are swabbed in airports and put into quaranteen and things like that at the moment which is all very scary.

I'm terrified that if I contract Swine Flu me n baby will die. I've read of some very grim cases and I'm worried sick now.

I am also taking 1 year old DS and worried about him picking it up out there.

Please advise me.

Hi Totally, I can completely understand your confusion and concern. I am 14 weeks and due to go to London tomorrow, travelling via trains and tubes, and whilst on a smaller scale than your travel plans - I am still very concerned.

I watched a news report at 5pm and that suggested not travelling etc, however the BBC news just said that the advice was that unless you had the SF symptoms, you should continue to get on with your daily life but be concious of hygiene.

I know that doesn't help much - but I guess you could pick it up by going into a supermarket, not just travelling.

At least they are not letting people with the symptoms get onto planes so there will be less risk for you there.

I say go with your head. Mum knows best! x

I'm also worried that any of us will be diagnosed with it at the airport! It's our wedding so it'd all go tits up. Hoping we're all fine. None of us have the flu anyway. I don't know how long it takes to come out.

Hope things go ok with your London trip

I know its probably no concelation but do you have wedding insurance in place just incase anything should happen?

Hopefully you will all be fine

I am also slightly concerned as meant to be flying to Malta for holiday in 3 weeks

Read the small print of your travel insurance policy, too, especially if you're going on a honeymoon straight away.
