DS1 - Based on nuchal alone - 1:63 (had CVS) and he had no chromosonal disorders... Very cheeky 17-month-old now.

DS2 - Combined nuchal and bloods - 1:21,000 (still baking!)

My blood test results were 1 in 1,000, I was 25 and my dd was born with Down Syndrome. She is a very healthy, beautiful, fun 2 year old little girl.

Mine are 1:430, which has got me slightly worried as nuchal fold was small and nose bone was very prominent (i claim that baby takes after hubby on that front) however my hormones were in the wrong direction, which is what swung my results back down. I am worried that there is a neural tube defect with this baby and have just had the quadruple blood test this morning and will await results this week. We had a rotten start with DS1 as I am Group B Strep positive and he was in neo-natal when born. We were hoping for a smooth running pregnancy this time round and now i am just sick with worry about why my hormones are so out of whack. Both my mother and I have spina bifida, but so mildly it should not come up on the blood test, however I am worried that this baby may have it more severely.

to quote the fetal cardiologist - if this baby(dd1) is born without down syndrome - it would be very very very rare. For dd2 - not nuchal fold testing but soft marker present brought my chance to around 1 in 100. For dd3 age and history - 1 in 53 - post nuchal translucency screening - 1 in 962.

1 in 5. Have had amnio and everything came back clear. Midwife said it was the highest ration she'd dealt with. I'm now 23 weeks.

Ladies - a couple of weeks ago I got told I had 1 in 9 at private scan following blood tests.
Went to Kings for cvs where they gave me 1 in 2!! they held it back until after the cvs result came back because i was already in a state.
cvs came back all clear, had detailed cardio check last week and all looking good.
Been told we are very, very lucky.
