What's going on?

I'm 7 weeks and I know my baby is a dot or a grape or whatever.

But I am feeling full on wiggles in my pelvis. It's not wind and it's not my first baby or anything. In all honesty I've been so busy lately I've not had time to think about my been.

It's not exactly kicks but sort of feels like it's wriggling or turning round. It's so weird.

It's certainly not wind, but surely I wouldn't be able to feel anything that early?

I had a DS only a year ago and my stomach muscles are well and truly nakered. I could feel DS quite early but not that strong a feeling and not that early.

So what is it?

I'm very confused.

Hi there - unlikely that you can feel the baby moving yet, it will be too tiny. Maybe it is just your uterus stretching & changing, I think it doubles in size quite quickly and could quite possibly give you some strange sensations.

Or.....could you be further on.....with triplets ??!!

I'm starting to worry. Felt it four times in 2 days and didn't have it with DS. Also getting period pains. Worried something could be wrong

I am 10 weeks pg with dc2. I also had my dd a year ago and felt this a few weeks ago.

I told dp I thought I could feel it and he told me not to be so stupid!!

I dont feel anything now so wonder if it to do with stretching. I also had cramps and they have gone now that Im further on!

that could be implantation I think. When the fetus burrows into the lining of the womb. I felt it as a period pain but if in doubt ring the midwife so you can have your mind eased!

I had a scan at 6 weeks and there was a heartbeat and everything. I'm just confused and worrying a lot after a recent MC. Have very, very bad sickness this time which I heard could be a bad sign?

My sonographer told me that sickness was a sign of a very strong healthy pregnancy as it's your bodies way of trying to control all these changes.

Don't worry to much once they have found a heartbeat it is very rare to MC. I am still waiting for my scan to see a heartbeat , then I can relax a bit.

hi retromum - not strictly true on the rare to MC once you see a heartbeat (me being an unlucky one who saw a HB and MC'd) the stats are:

Research has shown that if you see a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy, the chances of the pregnancy continuing are 78%. A heartbeat at 8 weeks increases the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks to 99.4%. So things could still go wrong, but as long as there is a heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage decreases as the weeks go by.

totallyandutterlypannied- sickness is a very good sign-Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP, or morning sickness) are associated with a decreased risk of miscarriage. link

period pains also entirely normal.

78% are still good odds and you are past that point now so try not to worry to much and enjoy the pregnancy.

Thanks Thandeka but i think I will still hang on to the 78% being much better odds as my sonographer told me than when you don't find a heartbeat at 6 weeks and it nearly always ends badly as it did for me. Just trying to hang on to the positivity!.

Yeah positivity is good.

Sorry am still horribly bitter about the midwife telling me I wouldn't miscarry at 6.3weeks as there was a heartbeat and I did 4weeks later and emby must have stopped growing a couple of days later. But Thandeka hastens to add she had NO real pregnancy symptoms with that one and what few symptoms she did have disappeared at 7 weeks (which was a clue something was wrong)- only had very very mild nausea, bit of tiredness and achy boobs. The comparison to this pregnancy is immense so hoping this will be a keeper(constant nausea, vomiting every day no appetite, aversion to most smells, foods and mainly just like to lie on the sofa all day ).

So back to pannini- here's hoping you continue to feel like SHITE!

oh and back to the wriggles in the pelvis- from about 7weeks I became very very aware of my womb like something "fizzing" in there- I knew something was growing. Then from about 8-9 weeks I felt a funny dragging sensation which worried me as felt like something had become dislodged but mumsnetters reassured me. Now the dragging sensations have been replaced by odd moments of extreme awareness of my womb but I can't really describe what or how, or nothing.

This will be my firstborn (so long as it gets that far) so I have no experience of wrigglers or movements but i am defo aware a mutant alien being has taken over my body.

I think its normal.

Thandeka actual throwing up was a winner for me with my DD even though I had complications and bleeding my midwife told me everyday that I throw up is one day less to worry, however I don't think she still expected me to be doing so at 26 weeks!.

groan 26weeks! am praying this eases off on the next month else I will cry!

but yes i suppose everyday of vomit is one less day to worry- nice way to look at it!
