Best bump bands?

Hello,
Am starting to need a bit more support in the tummy area and want to be able to wear my trousers undone (since they hurt to do up now!). I don't really have a proper bump yet but will shortly I hope. Anyhow best recommendations for bump bands? I can't find any in town (mothercare dont do em anymore) and am really fussy about material so am a bit scared of buying online. (I HATE anything that feels like tights or those spanx pants- puts my teeth on edge so wont be able to wear a band like that)
Any recomendations?

Ta.

Try Isabella Oliver - bit more expensive but lovely and wide and fantastic quality.

I walk past the big Oxford St Topshop every day, I can always nip in and grab you a black one and post it if you can't find one anywhere else.

There's a website called bumps or something similar (must have been on the first page of Google sites or I would have run out of patience) that actually had them in colours other than black and white. I got navy for example, and I think they had red, pink and others. Plain cotton jersey so feel nice, just wish I'd got a couple of white ones as it's in the wash all the time now it's hot.

Oh, glad it's not just me - although I can't do up my jeans anymore without them cutting me in half.

I can't find bump bands on Isabella Oliver - as I'm directed automatically to the French site and I don't know what they are in French (there are none in the Lingerie section).

Have emailed new look to find out when next in stock.

Is it me or is £15 for essentially a boob tube quite expensive! And dont get me started on the bump belt extender things- 14 for essentially a button on a piece of elastic! In fact I may experiment with making my own.

Here's the Isabella Oliver one. Comes in a set of two (one black, one white) for £30, but on sale for £24 right now!

I borrowed a black one from a friend, and it is fantastic. Mine was a size 5/6, which doesn't seem to be available. Supposedly that's to fit sizes between UK 16-20, but I started off a 22 and the 5/6 fit me just fine.

Mine are from New Look. Think I paid £15 for 3 and they are great.

Sorry to be thick - what is a bump band for, and do I need one?

thandeka - I got some M/L New Look ones, and they for some reason make me throw up (anything touching my bump other than really loosely does) - so if that's the size you're looking for, let me know - I can wash them and send them on to you! I've only worn the black and the white one once each, the grey one is unused.

MamaLazarou - bump bands look a bit like a boob tube and you wear them round your bump so that you can wear your normal clothes for a bit longer - ie so that your bump isn't sticking out the bottom of your top. Unless that is the look you are going for.....!

Mine's from Jojo Maman Bebe, and is miles better than the one I got last time from Formes. Comfy, and with button attachments, so still in my normal trousers/shorts at 32 weeks

Arolf- wow thats really kind of you and you poor thing about the touch bump vomit thing- pregnancy is a weird old world isnt it! (and I thought my husband touching my lower back making me boak was odd- but I think you win!)

If you email me on thandekatotango at hotmail dot com (separated out to avoid spambots- hope it makes sense) I can arrange to send you and SAE. Yippee for mumsnet.

The Isabella Oliver ones are fantastically comfy. They don't actually work out all that much more expensive either iirc.
