I've had this in the first half of my 3 pregnancies, although usually earlier in the morning at 3 am ish. I make s snack (sandwich, piece of fruit) and put it next to my bed.

Have a big glass of milk - that always fills me up quickly. Then go back to bed if you can!

Hi heinzsight,

I'm awake with the munchies this early as well.

I had this with my first pregnancy as well.

Bagels are my top tip, they're really filling.

Yes, I'm getting this nearly all the time - it didn't happen today but does seem to happen regularly on the weekend, when I tend to eat less. So I'm experimenting with eating a bit more in the evening, to see if it stops the 4.30am muesli-run...

I must confess I have recently become like a cat, all I seem to do is eat and sleep nowadays.

I do get really hungry at night, but I try to force myself to sleep even when hungry because I don't want my stomach thinking it get get it's own way and beg for food every night. There is no good reason to eat at night as I don't need the energy so my stomach will have to wait.

I have no donuts left!!!! I think the morning's 5am munchie attack will be sated with Cheerios.
