Hang on in there nightshade. Firstly the triple test gives false negatives so even if you'd had it done there is no guarantee that it would have indicated you as a higher risk for Down's Syndrome. Secondly I am not sure what a "double bubble" in the stomach is but know from my past experience as a midwife (10 years ago now) that there are various "markers" ultrasound practitioners look for when scanning. The more of the markers present the higher the risk of a chromosomal abnormality. So one marker doesn't mean much on it's own - just that they need to look further to see if there are any others and perhaps offer you an amnio if you want this. Sometimes stomach things turn out to be minor abnormalities which can be corrected with surgery or are things which will not cause any problems after birth. Wait and see what they say at the clinic.
