Is it safe to.. you know... 'fool around' at 4 weeks?

I did, and now I'm panicking because my womb feels all tight and I've had some cramping and some shooting pains.

Am I panicking over nothing?

Apparently the uterus practices contracing very early on and orgasm causes the uterus to contract too - so perhaps that's what you are feeling? I don't think it's a problem unless you are bleeding or the cramps don't go away. Then you should get checked out.

Hope that's all it is! Thanks

No it isn't safe at 4 weeks. I have seen women pregnant at their 6 week check. Be careful.....

Mears - i think the OP is 4 weeks pregnant, not 4 weeks past birth....

Of course it is safe when you are 4 weeks pregnant. Cramps are normal in the early stages.

I'm going to take cramps as a good sign because I didn't have any with MC, but I did have them with DS. Got them bad this time.

I am 4 weeks preg, but I was back on the horse 3 weeks after having DS last year wanted to check everything still worked.

Cruisemum- Yeah, a little bit obsessed with McIntyre

I think cramps mean the fertilized egg is embedding in your uterus - so yes, a good sign!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

the cramps could also be the ligaments stretching. I thought I was having an ectopic pregnancy with ds2. I was so concerned I went to the docs. It really was painful though. I am sure you will be fine . Have you seen Michael Mcintyre's Man Drawer routine?!

Ha yes, in our house it's called the 'necessity drawer' so we were falling about laughing. Any man without a man drawer is not normal

My fave bit is when he does that 'hold on while I punch this burning man in the face' scottish guy thing. So funny!

I've got a 6-7 weeks scan on 9th July so hopefully will put my mind at rest.

TAUP - that is an early scan?! Best of luck - I am sure all will be as it should be. Love hte refs to MM . I also love the November sketch..... "look how dark it is" He should be available on prescription! It would put the prozac manufacturers out of business

Oops - got wrong end of stick. Common to have cramping at times period would be due ie 4 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks. All should be well.

Thanks lovely ladies, my conception indicator has jumped from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks so all is looking good at the moment.

Cruise- he should definately come on prescription! There's a way to spend maternity leave when it eventually comes round me thinks...
