Hi, thanks for looking!

I am about 5 weeks pregnant, ten months after a mmc and totally paranoid!

Has anyone experienced lower back ache but on one side only? I have a doctors app tomorrow but in the mean time i need some reassurance. Living in another country and nobody to ask

Thankyou

is there an out of hours doc you can call or an EPU? its probably nothing, but it should be checked out to rule out ep.

hmm, well if you get any bleeding or the pain gets sharper or your shoulder tip starts to hurt then go straight toA&E (or equivalant)

oh, and congratulations, Im sure its nothing but you have every right to be paranoid!

You should ask a professional, but in the meantime, have you considered whether it could be colic? Pregnancy hormones can increase wind in your colon, the last part of which can sometimes give pain on the lower left part of the back. Try peppermint tea and a hot water bottle...

thnakyou suigeneris
I have been to the doctor, water infection test came back clear, a mc pain would be lower aparently finding it hard to move around now, feels like i have been in a fight and come off the worst!
I had a scan but its too early to see anything, unless im in the throws of a very early mc again......

I think two months back i got what came only be described as IBS, i have all the symptoms but never got around to the doctor so your post does make a bit of sense....im wandering off to find a hot water bottle where to buy one in dubai??? i can do peppermint tea!

Hi Barbie - congrats on your BFP. I had some lower back pain on left hand side. I think it was constipation related! Anyway it passed and I am now 9.5. Only 2.5 weeks of (this part of) the rollercoaster left to endure! I too MC'ed at 11 weeks - I remember you from the MC threads. Best of luck with this one. It's a nail biting time. No two ways about it. I just try to think if it's not cramping AND bleeding then there's still hope - the fat lady hasn't sung etc. Hang on in there! xxxxx

thanks - I totally know the feeling about weeks! even a couple of weeks seems like such a long time.
I had a good scan on Friday so am feeling hopeful for the very first time.
But the thing is that time does pass even though it feels like it doesn't.
I hope you get a more communicative scanner lady next time!
xx
