17 weeks and not much bump?

I know that I really should not be moaning about this!

It's my first pregnancy and I was never skinny (size 14/16), and I actually lost weight in first 12 weeks due to sickness.

Anyway all my colleagues, friends, random people keep remarking on my lack of bump.

I know all is well and normal and I feel OK etc etc.

But now I'm worried in case I am not normal - someone reassure me please - or at least just tell me kff for finding things to worry about

[manly pat on the back] you're normal! I was 20+ weeks before I got a 'real' bump instead of the pie-muncher look. You'll probably wake up one morning and bingo! Huge bump.

Obviously then people will tell you how huge it is

With ds1 I didn't have a bump until 21 weeks. I remember it very clearly - on the Thursday I had my 20 week scan and by Saturday I looked like I had swallowed a football. Lots of people I worked with had no idea I was pregnant until I came to work the following Monday!

I think it's mainly because I work with another pregnant girl who is 5 weeks "ahead" - she's enormous (in the nicest possible way!) but is a skiiny size 8 normally so much more noticeable on her

Well I'm size 8 and my bump appeared on Christmas Day after dinner!! I think I was around 22 weeks at the time.

I think it has a lot to do with how strong your tummy muscles are - how long they can hold out against the pressure of a youngster growing inside!

It will come all in good time. As the ladies have said you will wake on morning and there it is. All my bumps were small till about 20 wks.

I am not skinny either, and am 23 weeks tomorrow and so far - no bump! A bigger belly perhaps but no nice tight bump. I just look like I have been at the cake (which I have).
But midwife says not to worry, enjoy it while it lasts...

On the plus side I am still in my normal clothes, and can kind of still sleep on my front...

no bump here either, just a hard tummy. i'm 19 weeks. 2nd baby so thought i'd have a bump earlier. but no. just look a bit plump but no actual bump.
