Is it true that "you can get an infection if you have sex once the plug has come away"???

Hi there ladies...
I wanted to know how much truth there is in this really...
I had my "show" couple of days ago, but did the business this morning!!!
without going into the graphic's with too much detail... coz theres no plug there now stuff can get right up there, right?!
can this lead to an infection?? I'm a bit worried now, I want this baby out, I don't want to make it poorly...

Any advise would be much appreachiated

Thanks

The plug is there to prevent infection, but as your waters have not yet broken I assume the baby is still protected by the membrane in the womb. Might be worth speaking to your MW about it, but I am sure the odds are low that your baby is at any risk of infection.

Tangas - you are slightly more vulnerable to certain infections, but if your waters are intact and the baby is coming soon anyway, I wouldn't worry
