How long after your period is due can you still be getting a negative preg test...but actually be preg?

Period is two weeks late, usually v regular. Preg test on Thurs was negative. But what's the 'latest' you can get a false negative test? Surely by ten days over if I were preg it would have been positive? Or not?

For some women it can take several weeks. If you think you might be pregnant, treat yourself as though you are...take your vitamins/folic acid, make any lifestyle changes that you know would be healthy, etc..

Go ahead and try another test maybe in another week if still no period or wait until next month and test at that time if need be. It could just be an off cycle, you may even skip it for no obvious reason. Hope it turns out how you would like it to!
