One can always tell when i've spent a day at home...

I've had 2 scans so far, currently 9 weeks, both scans saw heartbeat and Obs said low percentage of miscarriage, so all seems well Thank God!
When a woman spotbleeds in PG is it usually earlier or later and generally what are the reasons? I don't know why i'm asking, too much time on my hands, reading too many threads and can't believe so far so good..

I had quite a heavy bleed at 7 weeks. It happened while DP and I were having sex and I was told by the nurse in the Emergency Room that it was because the cervix softens during pregnancy and the extra jostling around could have caused it. But the doctor who examined me was more vague and scary and just said it was a threatened miscarriage and there was a very good chance I would go on to miscarry. He talked a lot about the cervical os being closed and then opening to cause the bleed. Still another doctor said that since the scan looked so good there was a 90% chance I would carry the baby to term. And the final opinion came at my 12 week scan when the sonographer said that my placenta was slightly low and the bleed could have been caused by the placenta moving up away from my cervix.

So in other words, a lot of times they just don't know.

I bled at 7 weeks. I was told this was an implantation bleed and that it was normal, although I was scanned for a threatened miscarriage. An implantation bleed is when the egg digs itself on the side of the uterus and some of the uterus comes away. I now have a healthy 12 week old.
