Can you visit a farm while pregnant

I am 24 weeks this week and am wondering if I could take ds to the farm. I've got it into my head that i can't because of sheep?? Does anybody know?

I recall seeing signs up at our local farm that pregnant women should not touch the lambs or sheep - apart from that basic precaution I don't think there is any reason not to go.....there were certainly many pregnant women there with their kids.

Dont touch any lambs and if you do strike anyother animals then make sure you wash your hands afterwards. Its the lambing you have to stay clear of

Just be careful if your child touches an animal that you don't touch his/her hands until they've washed them! This is how a friend of mine got infected, and it was very serious. So be careful

Agree with Roobie - but I think it is pregnant sheep and/or lambs? I think this is to do with that you can catch something - not sure what - that can cause miscarriages? So you may be O.K. visiting a farm but be careful - I would definitely check this out with some higher authority as I am sure you wouldn't want to take a risk.
