i am 33 weeks and the size of a house with dc3. i've been feeling really weird today, short of breath, really aware of hearing my pulse, a bit shaky, exhausted and generally crap. The baby is a fair size already (both other babies were 8lb+) but it seems like the baby is trying to turn around, or lay across me which is really painful. i thought it was head down as my bump has dropped. i had an ante-natal check with mw at 28 weeks and am not due another check up until next week at 34 weeks as i've been left to get on with it. It almost feels like i can feel the babies finger, limbs etc inside, more than just a kick etc. it just doesnt feel right and i'm not sure whether or not to call the midwife or if i'm worrying over nothing. I've just never felt odd like this before. pls come and reassure me that i am just being a hormonal bag.

sounds like anaemia maybe? always worth getting it checked.

I think you should phone your midwife for reassurance. You can never be too careful during pregnancy, and if you are worried, then you do need to speak to someone with medical knowledge.

Are you ill at all do you think? Do you have a temperature? Are you eating and drinking well?

i am anaemic, have been taking iron for several weeks. it was more the weird movements i was worried about. i can't believe i have another 7 weeks to go.

Ring the midwife, say you are incredibly worried, shaky, tearful etc and insist they see you.
Do it right now, go on.........

belgo, I was very hot and cold earlier. i am eating little and often, as well a I can. I have minging heartburn. I just don't "do" pregnancy very well, which sounds really selfish as I know how lucky I am to be able to have the choice

In that case I think you should actually see someone, not just phone them. Is it possible to see a doctor, get your blood pressure, urine and temperature checked?

lazarou, that made me chuckle. i think i will ring them. i've had the same midwife for all 3 pgs, as they are midwife led, she'll probably tell me to behave myself and have a bath. I think it's shite that up until this date I have only had 2 ante-natal appointments though. I think that's why I a bit more in the dark as I haven't had the reassuring chats etc

At 33 weeks you should phone the AN unit at the hospital and see if you can go in for a check up; I wouldn't even bother with your CMW as she will no doubt just tell you to call the hospital (mine did when I had some problems with my last pregnancy)

If baby is big and trying to turn around I can understand why this would be painful, but with your other symptoms you definately sound like you need to get checked over.

How are you Allie? What did the MW say?
