Does anyone know the legalities of this? I know it can get quite difficult and uncomfortable on the practical side of things, but I'm more concerned with things like whether it would affect the insurance e.g. after 37 wks?
I did hear a tale about a woman who had todrive herself to hospital when she was in labour as they'd been to a party and her DH had had too much to drink.....
But...I've never heard of anyone being told they couldn't drive in later pregnancy - surely that would be common knowledge if it were so?
i was having driving lessons at 32 weeks, driving instructor said i could carry on learning to drive until i felt too uncomfortable. as it was i had to stop my lessons b4 i felt too uncomfortable as dh went into hospital, but i think iwould've carried on the lessons untill i couldnt fit behind the steering wheel.
I drove right up to the last day with all 4 pgs. I'm afraid it never crossed my mind that there might be insurance implications. TBH. I think I drove more carefully when I was pg as I was conscious of my responsibility for the baby.
