Anyone still got PG while using condoms even though they haven't split?

Condoms, when used correctly, which means they are put on at the point at which he gets hard and before you've mucked about for twenty minutes, and which are the correct size and put on properly, are still only 85% effective.

Oh dear. Well, DS is 11 weeks old. I had one period that lasted less than 24 hours and was VERY light 2 weeks ago and I am getting VERY thick around the middle.

Harmless though this may sound, when PG with DS, i got v thick around the middle at this same stage and inner thighs before AF was due to the point that I couldn't get my jeans on comfortably. The same thing has happened.

Could it just be ovulation? I am so baby brained that I have no idea when we had sex last or when AF is due.

Are you breastfeeding? That has a contraceptive effect.

It would be "oh my god!!!" for me but a real real disaster for DH - he either doesn't want any more, or a gap. DS is DC2 and I would love 3 or 4. Admittedly later would be better to give my poor old bod a break.

I am BFing but I was when PG with DS too. I got my firts period 6 weeks after DD was born. I know we had sex when DS was 4 weeks old a couple of times and since too but just can't remember when. Only 3 -4 times total due to busy nights with DS.

I've not had periods for years and have an 11 week old DS as well so I agree you should do a test.

Perhaps consider a different form of contraception too.

DH and I have found a novel one - sleeping on different floors - so far seems to be working

If you don't mind me asking WMMC - why no periods? Were you using condoms anyway just incase (no need to answer either at all!).

Well I was (and still am) breastfeeding DD - she's two this month so I didn't have one for 11 months before her birth (I was previously pregnant and miscarried then got pregnant with her immediately after that), then I got pregnant with DS while feeding DD.

Try the sleeping on different floors of the house - it really does the trick for not getting you pregnant
