I'm 27 weeks and am keen to get a 3d/4d scan at some point. What would you recommend as being the best stage to do this, I mean in terms of your baby being well developed, particularly her facial features being as they will be when she is born, or as similar to? When did you get your 32/4d scan?

I've been told between 25 and 32 weeks (I think) is best. We did them at 27 and 28 weeks. The longer you wait the more cramped it gets in there and the less likely it is you'll be able to get a clear shot of the whole face (conversely, the earlier you do it the less fat there is on the baby and the less they look like themselves).

Between 26 and 28 weeks is considered the optimium time. I had mine at 27 weeks and we got some lovely, clear shots.

Hi,

I had mine at 27 weeks, they said between 26 - 28 was best so i jumped in the middle.

There was a woman there who had waited to 31 and she was crying, they couldnt get any nice pics for her. They say that because the baby gets bigger, there is less fluid in the sac and it makes scanning harder. She was v upset because she had that very problem and the scans wouldnt come out......

Get it done now, it is amazing! I have one of mine on my phone wallpaper so i can flick the phone open and stare at her!

i've decided on baby premier too, mainly as it seems cheaper than the others! I'm 27+5 today so am trying to sort out an appointment for asap! I'm so excited.

BTW how do you rate baby premier?
