2nd time round ?

It's been 3.5 years since DS1 came along. I've heard that you show much sooner the 2nd time. Is that true? Have a bar mitzvah (Jewish boy coming of age ceremony) to go to at 19 weeks and don't have a clue whether I will be in maternity clothes or not.
What shall I buy?

Also will I be showing at 12 weeks?

Firstly, congratulations

I was showing and in maternity clothes with my dc2 at 6weeks! Obv everyone is different but yes you do tend to show much sooner as your stomach muscles aren't what they were first time around.

I am coming up to 19 weeks and am huge in comparison to my size at 19 weeks with DS. I suspect you will be in maternity clothes at 19 weeks. However I wore a nice capacious smock dress (non-maternity) to the wedding which was big enough to cover my bump - maybe worth looking at similar styles?

I'm 19 weeks and would say I'm about the same size as with DD. But I was big with her at this stage. Was in maternity trousers at 12 weeks both times as much more comfy. Not a hope in hell of getting into any normal clothes now.

I am 14 weeks and at that inbetween stage where normal trousers are too tight around the waist and maternity ones are too big! I do feel like my waistline has just given in much quicker this time. I would say that you would definately be in maternity wear by 19 weeks. I am finding it almost impossible to hide now, most people who dont know probably think I am just putting on weight!!!

I'm eleven weeks and this is my second pregnancy and yes, I look pregnant already! Last time I was still in my normal jeans until well past four months. I think I'll be out of them in a couple of weeks at this rate.

I'm 21 weeks and still not wearing maternity clothes. Can get away with top button undone on jeans etc. I am smaller this time round than I was with DS... was doing lots of excercise before I got pg and have continued going to the gym, as well as running round after DS- as opposed to sitting at a desk stuffing my face like I was last time. (Lots of face stuffing going on this time, but balanced by exercise!)
