All the books say around 18 weeks for a first baby, do you think that's about right?

I was about 21 weeks with my first to be honest, I think it was a few days after my 20 weeks scan.

With my second, was 17-18 weeks.

can vary - if your placenta is on the front, you feel movements later and not as strongly.

Felt my DS (1st baby with back placenta) early at about 15 wks

Felt my DD (2nd baby with front placenta) about 18/19 weeks

I was 16 weeks with DD. Depends on the mummy, depends on the baby.

I felt DS (1st pg) at 13 weeks - like tiny goldfish bubbles very low down, and quite unlike any feeling I'd ever had before.

This pg I started feeling 'something' at about 11 weeks, am now 13 weeks and occasionally get a sensation which I believe is the baby shifting around.

Real kicking was going on by about 18 weeks first time.

I must have tummy muscles of purest rice-paper...

Felt dd at 17 weeks but it wasn't like movement, just little popping, bubbly sensations. It took about 5 weeks for the popping to get stronger and turn into wriggles.

With first it was after 20 wk scan but I had anterior placenta.

This time with second I'm pretty sure I felt it from around 12/13 wks and now by 19 wks can feel it very strongly so don't think I have an anterior placenta this time!

Definate movements at 15 weeks with DS and 18 weeks with current bean. Odd 'possible' flutterings since about 13 weeks this time though.

Hi there,

I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I felt movements around 17 weeks, it was only a bubble feeling ( and I thought it was trapped wind ;-) but my midwife confimed she could see my tummy moving and so that was my little one moving.
