Pregnancy

32 weeks - overwhelming tiredness

Hi, I'm 32 weeks into my second pregnancy. My dd is 2.4 and I am a SAHM so I can pretty much do as little or as much as I want in a day. Lately though I am getting days when I am almost literally falling down with tiredness. I'm having one today and have had to resort to taking dd into bed with her books and dolls as I barely have the energy to walk from room to room. Is it normal to have days like this at this stage? I don't remember feeling like this last time. I know plenty of women are still working at this stage in pregnancy and managing other children so I am wondering if something is wrong. Last time I had my iron levels checked they were fine. Had blood taken on Friday so waiting to hear about that. Any tips to help me get going would be appreciated.

poor thing im in same situation. Im 30 weeks and have a 2.2 ds and im like that with the tiredness. Today ds seems to have a cold so he particularly whingey! Ive stuck ceebees on! My bloods all came back fine too so im putting it down to just lugging round all the extra weight. Rest when you can (cant believe im saying that to you as i just laugh when people say that to me!)

my ds never stops so that doesnt help with tiredness. Why dont you try to nap when she goes down for a nap?

I also find, even though its the last thing you feel like, going for a short walk in the fresh air helps abit and makes me feel more awake.

I do feel your pain!

Pretty normal I'd say! I'm 30 weeks with no.2 and am having good and bad days. Some days I am pretty much OK, but need an early night. Other days the tiredness is crushing and I am ready for bed about half an hour after getting up! I was childless and working full time during my last pregnancy - this time I'm not working but am dealing with a 3 yr old and the housework etc every day, which I find much more tiring to be frank!

Hi there I am 33 weeks today and suffering from the same thing, I thought there was something wrong but it must be normal, with DD I was fine right through decorating and moving house at this stage but I am just resting when I feel like this and finishing work tomorrow which should help too.
I think I am getting fed up now got loads to do but no energy.
Hope you all feel better soon.
