yes - full bladder. tbh you could wee now and drink water until your scan and you will be fine.

Hope the scan goes well.

you know it will probably be a internal scan. not pleasant but hopefully worth it. good luck.

Well I got told off for my bladder not being full enough! I hadnt drank loads, but did need a wee so thought it would be ok. Still saw the little bubba one the screen and a good strong heartbeat so all good.

And no, it wasn't an internal scan.

At two early scans I've had, I've had to empty my bladder before hand - both internal.

For internal scans, you need an empty bladder

Wheelybug and theangelshavethephonebox are right. You need an empty bladder before an internal scan (which is what you will have at 6 weeks). They will ask you to pee shortly before you are called in.

Oh sorry - I see you've been and it wasn't internal. It's great that you saw a heartbeat.

Actually I am quite pleased yours wasn't internal. My experience of 6 week scans is that they normally are but I have one tomorrow and would be v happy if I could avoid that indignity!

Glad that the scan went ok.

When I had an early (external) scan, I was told off for drinking too much water. The consultant said that I didn't need to as I was "nice and skinny"! Charming!!
