I have felt movements from early on in this pregnancy-this is dc #2.
But over the last 2 weeks i have only felt one very small movement.
I have total previa and have had 5 major hemmorages(sp?) in the last 3 weeks.
I'm sure the baby is ok as i listen to its heartbeat with a fetal monitor everynight and all sounds well but it's really worrying me that i can't feel and movement.
Is it possible that he/she has moved so far back that i'm not feeling the movements anymore?
I have got a scan next week but i just need a bit of advice really,Sorry if this all sounds paranoid.

I think you should phone the day assessment unit and see if you can pop in for some reassurance. I had soemthing similar to this.

if your worried go in to hospital, better to be safe. You know your body and your baby so you know whats not normal for you. I know I didnt feel much at 18wks, just butterfly type movement. Hope your ok

most people do not feel the baby move til well after 20 weeks so as long as you can hear the heart beat i would not panic too much.

I would feel like a fake going into hosp as i can hear the babys heartbeat.I think i need to get a grip!

I agree with lisa - you know when something isn't right, even when the midwives say things like not every one even feels their baby move at 18 weeks.

my midwife is worse than rubbish.
She is impossible to contact and doesn't return any phone calls.

cece I knew with both of mine that something wasnt right never good, and how do you explain a gut feeling to a doc blush

cece Thu 21-Aug-08 23:11:48

Yes I was right too sad

nobodysfool Thu 21-Aug-08 23:14:22

now i'm really worrying....

lisad123 Thu 21-Aug-08 23:15:57

if your worried please go, my girls were fine in the end, just to say that. but please trust your gut feelings. I didnt care how stupid i felt, i would have kicked myself if something worse had happened.

Yes but you can hear a heartbeat so that is a positive.

If I were you I would get seen at the day assessment unit tomorrow, you can phone and go direct without speaking to your mw usually.

How are you today nobodysfool?

You're entitled to be anxious because of the haemorraging though. But a heartbeat means baby is well.

Hope you've had good news.

I am in a similar situation and have just devoured a magnum in three mouthfulls in the hope of shocking the baby into moving.

It didn't work sad

nobodysfool Sat 23-Aug-08 12:56:32

Still no movement but listened to their heatbeat this morning and heard lots of movement.I think they have just moved so far back it cant feel it!

Upwind-Try a mars bar and a can of full fat coke -it worked everytime with ds.
How are you today?
