40 wks plus 1 day and so tired

doing this for my daughter, she is 40 wks plus 1 day, had a sweep and lost her plug yesterday, baby is spine to spine and she has arthritus, she has pains in her back and period type pains constantly, but has such a high pain threshold, just don't know what to do for her, she is only 18 and is my baby, I seem to have forgotton what its like. Is she in labour???????????? I don't think she can take much more

get the girl a tens machine if she hasnt got one already, i am 40 + weeks and just hired one from boots and it is BRILLIANT!

She could well be in labour call the delivery ward and they will advise you from there, they may want to have a look at her to see if shes in labour - they will prob send her home if shes not moving along too quickly. Good luck x

Thanks for the advice, she has just called me and said that she had rang her midwife who came out to see her, she said that she is in labour but wouldn't be able to examine her because of risk of infection, but expects to see her on the labour ward before 10 tonight, midwife has told her that she must get some rest because she is so tired, so not sure how far along she is just have to keep my fingers crossed that my gransdson puts in an appearance in the next 24 hours

She has her boyfriend, not that he is much use, am just about to leave work now, so hopefully, this will be it and I won't be signing on here tomorrow without good news on the birth of my grandson
