Hi ladies I am 7 weeks pg and find my boobs sooooo uncomfortable at the mo. Also my nipples have doubled in size and am finding my bra does not really protect them. Can anyone recommend a comfortable bra they have used or are using that helps eliviate the problem in early pg? Thanking you in anticipation.

Not a particular bra, but i felt loads better after getting a properly fitted bra with wide straps etc.

As for protecting your nips - didn't have this problem in pregnancy, but you could try using some breast pads (the type you use when your milks in) - they act like little cushions and keep you comfy.

I liked the M&S 'total support' one for, er, support.

I don't think there's much you can do for painful nipples other than walk with your arms out so that nothing crashes into you. Maybe you could get a bra that doesn't have a awkward seam across the front. I remember buying a maternity bra when I was first pregnant, but I can't for the life of me remember if it did anything special.

The sensitivity in your nipples should pass in a matter of days or weeks.

I got breastfeeding bras really early in the pregnancy as I was so uncomfortable and my boobs grew so quickly. I am still going to be able to wear them for breastfeeding so it not a waste of money.
Elle Macpherson does some nice ones (you can get them in selfridges, or I have seen you can order them from
\link{http://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk} ). Or you can buy maternity bras, but I can't remember where I saw them or if its worth it.

My current favourite is a maternity bra by Anita - it's microfibre and has really soft supportive bands around each cup which are supposed to act a bit like underwires. The whole bra is really soft and supportive - I bought it from a specialist maternity wear shop.

Marinda, I'd gone up a cup size at 7 weeks (am now 12 weeks) and got measured for bras at Mothercare. Hve found their "support maternity bra" really comfy - £12 each. I would advise avoiding their two pack of bras as I've found that where the rings joining straps to cups are round and fairly large they dig in just at top of underarms - not comfy at all. Rings on the single supprt ones are a flattened figure of eight shape and don't dig in at all. Not the most sexy of garments but the wider straps etc really help - not underwired which may also help on comfort stakes, found wiring in old bras was beginning to dig and irritate, depends what you prefer though.
