coleslaw is fine its only home made <unpasturised> may that is off limits due to raw eggs. the shop bought stuff is all pasturised and is fine. no idea about the milk though.

mayo not may

mum2bean Sat 16-Aug-08 17:18:09

thanks for that, just had a moment of omg, i've eaten something bad!
it's odd, i cant explain the whole off milk thing, i can smell it on my partners breath, even after he has brushed his teeth, and i can taste it, even after i have brushed my teeth, yet i cant actually smell milk if it is going dodgy??

Have a look at if you are worried about particular foods. It is the food standards agency website.

I flipping ate some stilton the other day - would you know if you got listeria from it?

i've eaten what i like so long as i make it myself.

i don't make anything with raw egg.

dinny Sat 16-Aug-08 17:42:38

what about soft-poached eggs? a no-no?

expatinscotland Sat 16-Aug-08 17:44:13

i wonder if they are if you use Lion eggs, dinny.

dinny Sat 16-Aug-08 17:46:34

what are Lion eggs?

expatinscotland Sat 16-Aug-08 17:48:15

the chickens have been vaccinated against salmonelle, IIRC.

the eggs are usually stamped with a red lion rampant.

or the carton you buy them will say.
