Pregnancy

A quick poll on morning sickness

To all you lucky ladies out there who aren't or haven't experienced morning sickness..

Did you have any other symptoms in early pregnancy or were you completely symptom free including the MS?

I only ask because last time with DS I had such sore boobs (I couldn't even lie on my front in bed), metallic taste in mouth and diziness from 4 weeks followed on by all day nausea from 5 weeks until 11 weeks.

This time I'm 5 weeks and apart from boobs a bit bigger and hungry all the time I feel fine.

Does this mean I'm going to get away with it?
Plllllllleeeeeeeeeeese say yes!

No morning sickness whatsoever throughout the whole pregnancy, although I did puke once or twice when I'd eaten so much it actually wouldn't fit in. Ahem. Think washing up bowl sized portion of popcorn. I couldn't stop myself. It was horrible. I did have the sorest boobs ever, though, from five weeks until I gave birth. And then my milk came in.

I didn't realize I was pregnant at all with DS until I was tested at 7 1/2 weeks prior to supposedly having my wisdom teeth out. I had no morning sickness at all with either him or my DD - great hunger, but no sickness. I did feel slightly sick once or twice about 4.00 pm - but then I just started making sure to eat a large snack at 3.00 pm and that solved the problem.

Not really any MS either with DD, just occasionally felt had a slight hangover (I didn't by the way!). Had other symptoms but nothing very much. 14 weeks pg again and symptoms are even less with this one, just very tired but that could be to do with having a 1 year old to look after?

With dd I had sore boobs pretty much from the day of conception, mega indigestion in the last trimester, and that was it.

This time, sore boobs as before, but morning sickness started at about 5 weeks, and has continued pretty much ever since (I'm now 32 weeks) , and mega indigestion from about 4 months.

My MS started at 6 weeks both times, and second time round it was much worse...

I was knackered and figured I had a bit of a lurgy a couple times, and eventually saw the doc after being totally wiped out with what I thought was a cold. And mentioned a metallic taste as an afterthought. Turned out I was 14 weeks and the metallic taste was as close to MS as I ever got - and it mainly went by 18 weeks.

However I had lots of throwing-up medical problems before pregnancy, so it's hard to tell. Threw up once at 3 weeks and twice at 19 weeks, but both probably related to over-eating (well, over- compared to what I could eat before). The sore/itchy breasts were from 16-19 weeks.

Since then it's just been general knackeredness and SPD...

Oh, well you might be Ok but I met my best friend when I was 5 weeks and told her how great I felt (she was about to give birth!!) and she said 'Oh, wait till next week!' and sure enough I spent the next maybe 13 weeks feeling like crap

Not sure if it was worse than the first time or not

It was quite sudden though when it hit.

No morning sickness for me with any pregnancy (one m/c + dd + ds due in a few weeks).

No symptoms at all with dd.

Sore boobs (but only whilst feeding dd) early on with ds.

horrendous MS with first baby. Nothing at all with second (thank goodness, as don't know how I'd have looked after toddler at same time)

With first pregnancy had the whole shebang, nausea/sickness, pounding headache, extreme tiredness, mega sore boobs etc.

With ds didn't really have any symptoms, except boobs getting bigger. I threw up twice about 20 weeks, but I think that was a space thing as suddenly my stomach would roll then bleurgh, no warning at all.

Oh yeah and bloody heartburn had that with ds and restless legs.
