misdee Mon 28-Jul-08 19:02:22

popsycal Mon 28-Jul-08 19:03:28

lljkk Mon 28-Jul-08 19:03:45

You could take a taxi.
Why not phone the delivery ward or your MW for advice?

laidbackinengland Mon 28-Jul-08 19:04:01

Ring for advice - but I think they will make you come in.

lljkk Mon 28-Jul-08 19:04:43

OH -- but don't tell taxi driver (if you do take taxi) that you're having ctx.
Yes, just ring for advice. Because of your high BP, really, if nothing else.
Can you ring your local team of MWs instead, if that seems better to you?

notsoslimnow Mon 28-Jul-08 19:10:19

does your bp measure more than 140/90?

popsycal Mon 28-Jul-08 19:43:45

last bp was 150/105 so yes

not having contractions just lots of braxton hicks

popsycal Mon 28-Jul-08 20:05:57

CantSleepWontSleep Mon 28-Jul-08 20:09:30

Blimey - that was a fast labour!
Can't hurt to phone for advice can it?

twocutedarlings Mon 28-Jul-08 20:11:00

bloody hell popsycal !! now thats fast!!

I thought i was fast, 2.5 hour from first contraction.

Are you still having the braxton hicks?

jollyjolly Mon 28-Jul-08 21:25:29

I think you should definitly get checked out, even if its hard to sort out childcare.

Whats happening now??

jollyjolly Mon 28-Jul-08 21:26:32

It isn't worth risking your baby, especially with high blood pressure. I would get in straight away, even if you waste their time, its worth it to know baby is ok?

TotalChaos Mon 28-Jul-08 21:27:11

are you still having the period type cramps?

cafebistro Mon 28-Jul-08 21:33:30

If you are worried ring your labour ward. Explain your symptoms and your history of fast births. it wouldnt hurt just to go in for a couple of hours of monitoring to make sure you're not in labour...they'll just send you home if your not,no harm done and a load off your mind! smile

me23 Mon 28-Jul-08 21:40:57

hope you have rung the delivery suite. hope you are ok
