OMG...I am going to burst, arent I?

Due date is tomorrow, and I have had the most uncomfy night so far!

It was too hot, even laying on the bed under ceiling fan!

I just want to sleep on my back again, and not wake up with sore hips, because I have layed on one side for too long.

On top of this, I have gone huge in the last few weeks, and I mean really huge! Its got the point now that I feel like I may just burst!

I am either carrying alot of water again, or its a huge baby!

Thanks for letting me whinge, I may add to this later as I enter over-due-dom...again

Oh and feel free to add your own whinges

i always got the sore hips thing too, bloody awful isn't it?
I always had get out of bed and get back facing the other way becuase i physically could'nt turn over.

And being pg in this weather is pants too, a good way to cool down is to run your wrists under the cold tap. its sometjing to do with the blood flowing so close to the surface there so it cools down or some such.

Oh i dunno, it works though.

Whew it was hot last night! I totally understand the hip thing, feels awful when you first get up. My left shoulder has also started to hurt loads in the morning, very annoying. I used to sleep on my tummy and am getting upset at remembering how easily I used to sleep... My bump is still quite small (I'm 31w) but I can just imagine it ballooning to amazing proportions in the last month and me not being able to do anything!

Good luck Divvy, hope the baby makes a move soon and you don't have to wait too long!

ps. A bit of whinging is good for you...

Lots of sympathies!
I've been overdue with all 3 of mine.

I had an ice cube craving with them all and I used to sit and eat a bowl full before I went to sleep every night.

Sending a tonne of labour vibes from the Due Aug thread. Hot. Swollen fat feet/cankles/calves. Ewwwwww.

Every sympathy to you divvy. I just want to cry now and I'm only just term (37+2). Having cs on 6th Aug for a 2nd breech baby.

Did the huge and pregnant thing through the heatwave of 2003 - it is awful! I slept on the leather sofa for 3 months, my best tip is to have a bowl of iced water to stick your feet in it really really helps. also keeps your blinds/curtains shut during the day to keep your house cool.

I always go over due as well, not just by a few days but weeks!

And you would think I would have learnt my lesson by now too, as this is my 3rd July August baby!

Plus I also know how hot its going to be in hospital....bet they have even still got the heating on!

My dh is nesting, bless him God love a man that you can shout out, then he still goes and cleans the house!

Sympathies. Have you tried the old sleeping-with-pillow-between-the knees thing for your hip pain?

40+2 and consultant appointment tomoz, to book a cs date....do I go for it?

or wait till 40+10+... and then end up with the same?

Tried sex, and just had a curry!

If he offers a S+S do I also go for it, knowing they have never worked on me before...

Sympathies Divvy - I'm 36 weeks and feel like a cosmic joke. I'm so enormous that once I fall asleep (pillow wedged between legs, of course) it seems my body is unable to move itself around, so I wake up with shocking stiff back from being immobilised all night.

Thank god I have to wake up ten times a night to go to the toilet eh?

Also can sweeps be done if head not engaged?

Is there any point?

I'd have the S&S. Wouldn't worry too much about head not being engaged - DS3 wasn't engaged until I was in labour
