Mine was. But I don't want to scare you, so I won't give you numbers

Each of mine was bigger than the previous, but each labour was easier than the previous one. In fact the biggest baby of all was the shortest and easiest labour, and the only one for whic I didn't need stitching.

umm, what would you like me to say here?

IN MY EXPERIENCE, yes. But that's only my experience, thats not to say its the same for everyone ...

No no, I want honesty! Numbers are fine (in fact, numbers are preferred )

Mine increased in size. First only 6 lbs 14 oz, second 7 lbs 4oz and third 7 lbs 15 oz so, yes, they did get bigger.

Oh yes! It was a much easier labour, I remember at one point thinking 'I could do this without pain relief'. Then I came to my senses.

7-ish pounds, 8-ish, 9-ish, 10-ish.

No stitches. Not sure what that says about me

Not true for me. My 3rd was actually the smallest (and not a premature birth either).

8lb10, 9lb3, 11lb.

If you're a pessimist, foxy, it says that we've been stretched to there and back.

OTOH, if you're an optimist, it says that we have learnt how to relax our bodies, go with the flow, and birth well, and are now dab hands at it.

1st - 7lb 6oz
2nd - 8lb 7oz
3rd way smaller than both at 6lb 6oz

well, its possible, but everything is so much, erm, looser, chances are it'll be easier.

Don't worry, there's not much in it. My DC4 came out 10lbs and in the bag.

And still I didn't tear

Yes, rather a lot bigger in my case:

DS1 - 7 lbs 2 oz

Ds2 - 8 lbs

DS3 - a whopping 9 lbs 6 oz!

But it was the easiest birth, all the same.

I was 6lb, my sister 7 and a half lb followed my brother who was 9lb.

Mine are the opposite in pattern! DD1:7lb, DD2:6.8lb, DD3:6.4lb.

They've always measured consistently at scans on their chosen centile lines throughout pregnancy. Funnily enough, DC4 is measuring at the highest centile of any of mine at the midway mark @12 week scan! Hmmm, my pattern could be blown out of the window by January!

yes mine did get bigger dd1 6lb 5 ds1 7lb 13 and ds2 8lb 1 .. however 5 years between 1st and second and only 14 months between second and third. Also different sexes and i was heavier to start with by the time i had second so i would say there are lots of reasons why they could eb bigger! But i do know people who had babies consistently the same size and those who had subsequent babies who were smaller.

Tell you what I will let you know in about 3 months - so far ds 8lb 7oz (10 days od) then dd 8lb 4oz 1 week early.

Dd2 in tummy at the mo - by far biggest bump at this stage (according to the lovely ladies at the till in Tesco's who are convinced I am about to drop)!
