Had some light bleeding last night at 11 weeks - Need some comfort

Hi
I went to the loo around tea time last night and when I wiped there was blood on the tissue, feeling panicky I wiped several times and had more blood. No big clots or anything. The blood was red, like period.

Just before I went to the loo I felt some aches in my back, nothing too bad, just slight aches.
I have had no more bleeding and no more pain. I just feel that I can't relax and am worrying the bleeding will start again. Scared to go to the loo!

I have my 1st ultrasound booked for Thursday. I thought I would wait until then and go for my scan. Unless I bleed anymore in the mean time.

Just need to type it all down.

I know how scary it is, so you have my deepest sympathies.

Despite bleeding in 2 of my pregnancies, I went on to have healthy babies, so do try not to panic. ( I know it's hard not to!)

Good luck!

Thanks. I searched the net for info but there is so much scary stuff to read, I just didn't want to read it. I suppose I am comparing everything to my 1st pregnancy with ds, which was text book all the way through. Well until the end when he turned out to be breech lol!
I will see how I feel by the end of the day and maybe see if I can get an appt at the doctors next week.

i had the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago at 11 weeks, wiped and there was blood, wiped again and again and there was more, but then nothing after that. was sent for a scan the next day and everything looked fine, healthy 11 week baby in there. no explanation for it.
i had the achy period type pains too.

hope everythings ok for you.

Did you do some vigorous exercise or have sex by any chance?
This always caused me to bleed like that early on.... drs didn't know why. Now 27 weeks and healthy baby!

Thanks for the replies. I did have sex the day before so I guess it could be that. I haven't had any more bleeding today and no more pain, so am hoping it was just one of those things.

Hope everything is ok. I've had 5 small "bleeds" so far. Am now 34 weeks and have spent 2 nights in hospital and touch wood everything seems ok. Las time they thought it may have been a cervical erosion aggravated by the extra blood flow around that area? Have you been to docs yet? May be get checked out just to put your mind at ease. It's such a worry isn't it?

Fingers crossed for you, mumfor1standmaybe2ndtime!!
If it is because of having sex, then it might happen throughout - it happens to me every time and dr said it probably would until the end, but didn't tell me not to do it...although I sort of wish he had
He DID tell me to stop running, though - as that caused a lot more bleeding. Some people are just more prone to it, I guess (that's what he told me anyway).

Thinking of you and hoping all is OK.

I had lots of bleeding in the first few weeks of my second pregnancy. Including a suspected mc at 13 weeks (big bleed, much like dreamymum). Was very scary indeed. Then it all settled down and DD2 was born perfectly healthy at term.

Wishing you all the best for Thursday, I bled with dd1 at 16 weeks, it was cervical erosion, all was fine.
Take it easy between now and Thursday and try not to worry too much.

Hi, thanks for the kind replies. I haven't had any more bleeding so I am staying hopeful. I spoke to a friend of mine today who has also had bleeding in early pg and she is now 34 weeks gone and doing fine.

This pg is so different from my first, I have had sickness this time(never had this with ds) and now the bleeding. Maybe it's a sign of a girl or twins! In myself I am feeling fine, just tired. Will let you know how it goes. I am seeing a consultant after my scan as I had a c section with ds so I suppose at least I can chat to him.

Hi, Pleased to say I had a scan today and baby is fine. I am actually 13 weeks and not 11.5 as I thought I was, but not too much of a shock!
Spoke to consultant and he said bleeding was common and to not worry.
Feel like a weight has been lifted! Thanks again for the messages

I had it at 10 weeks with first pregnancy and was told I was doing too much and to rest more. 2nd pregnacy I had it at about 6wks (implantation bleeding I believe) two happy daughters later...

I'm sure you'll be fine. Maybe a good reason to ease up on the sex. Or is that just me?;-)

It does seem to be more common than you think by listening to things on here. I had no bleeding with ds, so I guess it freaked me out when it happened this time.
We have decided to ease off the sex for couple of weeks which has made me feel bit more relaxed, not even sure if this was the reason for it.
Oh well, now off to work on this lovely sunny day..!!
