When did your second baby engage?

Am 34 weeks at the moment and really feel that baby has dropped in the last few days. I have heard than the second does not normally drop until labour starts. Just wondering what your experiences have been as worried that this little one is trying to escape early.

I feel the same (this is my third) - my second dropped at about 36 weeks so I also think this one may decide to make an early appearance. I am 33 weeks and a mother at preschool commented that she thought I had dropped this morning so I know I am not imagining things....Made it to 39 weeks last time and 41 first time.

second, third, and subsequent babies don't always engage at all.

So don't worry if it doesn't happen.

Neither dd2 or ds engaged before being born.

Im i exactly the same position but 31 weeks and wondering the same. Very uncomfortable, much lower, aching etc. Also my heart burn has mysteriously disappeared - which Im not complaining about.

I dont think its anything to worry about... or at least I hope not!

DS didn't engage at all and eventually had to be pulled out quite literally kicking and screaming (forceps delivery) despite me prattling on for weeks beforehand that it wouldn't be long until he was here. In actual fact, I could, at times feel him headbutting me down below and his feet digging me in the ribs and wondered how on earth that could be possible, when he was so low down. He was just a really long baby . He was also 12 days late.
